Game - attack inserts the pupil into the immune system of the person (Part 1)
The main hero of the game is a wonderful teenager in the unique position: he should travel all over the immune system, piloting the microscopic robot to rescue his own life. However, actually the purpose of the game is quite another — to dip the student into the immunology to help him to understand this uneasy subject.
Generally, Federation of the American scientists (FAS) presented the prototype of training game “Immune attack” to the medical community some time ago. So we can already get acquainted with a new product.
Thus, we face first-ever computer strategy on behalf of the first person which teaches principles of immunology in a no conventional way. The player should diligently, level after level, study semi-functional immune system of the person in order to win, otherwise he will not get rid of bacterial and virus infections so — he will never become diplomaed physician.
“The immunology is a complicated and difficult subject for pupils which does not prevent, and even on the contrary, helps it to become an interesting basis for the videogame, — the coordinator of project FAS Eitan Glinert has explained. — The atmosphere of the game gives those people who would not become interested in biology otherwise, an opportunity to get acquainted with a cheerful and practical technique which you will not find in any textbook “.
