When you choose phlebotomy classes, checking the license is very important. The issue of school certification is one of the main aspects to consider for prospective career opportunities. In today’s competitive labor market, it is important to make sure you have the education and training that correspond to the existing requirements. So if the institution you attended is not accredited, your qualification will not impress future employers. Accreditation is the main factor to consider. To be qualified and certified to work in the health related sector, you must attend an accredited school of phlebotomy. Otherwise, your diploma or certificate will be just a piece of paper.
Phlebotomists are very important members of the medical stuff today. The primary responsibility of a technician is to draw blood from patients. In most cases, the phlebotomist takes samples of blood that will be used for medical diagnosis, but technician can also work with donors in blood banks. Some workers draw blood for drug testing as well.
Some colleges and vocational schools offer programs, when you be a graduate in less than 2 years or even as little as 6 months in an accelerated program. Future employers may question the legitimacy of your training if you attended a school that was not licensed. Also it may impact your salary of phlebotomist.

Look through the passing rates of graduates if there are a lot of students who failed certification exams, this is a bad sign. Also look in their professional placement services, teachers and other resources. You choose your education, so make sure it is good.
